For your convenience, the borders between the frames can be adjusted. Place your mouse pointer over the border you want to move. When you see the arrow change into two parallel lines with an arrow on each side, click and drag the border in either direction. If your "Back" button doesn't work, it's because the link you clicked on has opened in a new browser window. The task bar on the bottom of your screen will show a button you can click to get back to the other window, or hold down the "Alt" key and tap the "Tab" key to toggle between the two screens. The essay has been divided into four parts in order to keep the file sizes manageable. This means that if you use the Edit-Find command in your browser to look for a specific name, word or phrase, you'll have to search in all four sections. There's a link to each of the four parts on the navigation menu, as well as a link to the bibliography and footnotes (both of these will come up in the bottom frame). The "Guide to Skipping Around" allows you to jump to sections of the essay that deal with specific topics.
