BEVERLY HILLS--God bless America, and how's everybody?

House Democrats drew up a bill to denounce Congresswoman Ilan Omar for her anti-Semitic remarks. Yet the bill was amended, and it became a laundry list of complaints by every religion and race ever oppressed in America. Somehow I knew this whole thing would wind up being my fault.

Barack Obama returned from a speaking tour of Canada last week where he gave speeches at banquets in Calgary, Manitoba and Vancouver. For each banquet speaking engagement, the former president charges four hundred thousand dollars. His topic is The Importance of Free Speech.

Joe Biden was reported Thursday to be planning to announce a run for president in April, which will bring the number of announced Democratic candidates to about two dozen. His chances can’t be dismissed. Joe has tremendous name recognition, and if he can overcome that, he could win.

The Food and Drug Administration Wednesday okayed a wonder drug that is inhaled through the nose, which lifts away symptoms of depression. It made me grateful. I’d like to think the FDA waited 32 years till they were absolutely sure I was committed to sobriety before they legalized cocaine.

R. Kelly flipped out during an interview with Gayle King on the CBS Good Morning show last week as he faces four counts of sexually abusing women, three of them underage. His prosecution for his sex behavior is a cautionary tale for every guy in show business. I for one no longer stream online.

NFL owners are reportedly ready to make concessions to the NFL Players Association over substance abuse. It’s an even trade. The NFL owners will give the NFL players lots of leeway over substance abuse if the NFL players will grant NFL owners leeway over massage parlor abuse.

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar drew support for her anti-Semitic remarks from young Democrat House members in spite of Nancy Pelosi’s attempt to rein in the Somali-born Muslim. We all know how this ends. If you think you’re mad at Ilhan Omar now, just wait until she decides to perform stand-up.

Donald Trump’s ex-campaign manager Paul Manafort was sentenced to four years in federal prison. He looked haggard from his nine months in jail. Paul spent many hours every day alone, he wrote on walls and he was poked by people he didn’t know at night, it’s like he never left Facebook.

President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen sued Trump’s company for two million dollars Thursday, claiming it’s owed to him in legal fees. Cohen testified against his client before Congress for three full days. For crying out loud, that’s twenty-four billable hours right there.

President Trump got enough Senate support to be able to sustain a veto of a bill that tried to keep border wall funding. He gets no help. If Trump would just come out in favor of open borders and higher taxes, the Democrats would slash taxes and build a border wall three thousand miles long.

Homeland Security’s Kirstjen Nielsen testified to Congress Wednesday that one million people a year are flooding over the border now. She tried to sell it to Congress as an emergency. The relentless border invasion has more and more Americans envying Australia for its shark-filled moat.

President Trump will address an evangelical church convocation in D.C. in May. He was raised Presbyterian. Whenever Calvinist churches host Bingo Night, rather than allow the winners to be picked due to the random selection of bingo cards, on the night beforehand the pastor elects a chosen few to be the winners and simply informs people when they arrive whether they’ve been chosen to win.
