HOLLYWOOD--God bless America, and how's everybody? CBS This Morning sent Gayle King to a freezing Chicago Wednesday where she sat down for an interview with R. Kelly, who flipped out in the chair and went berserk on live TV. You’d think he’d be in a nice mood. Whenever temperatures dip into the teens, R. Kelly calls it his kind of weather. The L.A. Chamber of Commerce released a summer tourism brochure entitled the Twelve Ways to Get to L.A. There’s no other place like it. You could be sitting at the Sky Bar and snort a line of coke off your bare phone, and onlookers will tell you how dangerous it is not to have a phone cover. Stormy Daniels made news Wednesday when she performed a stand-up comedy gig at the Joke Joint in Houston commanding thirty dollars a ticket. Her past comedy career is well chronicled in the entertainment industry. When Stormy opened for Donald Trump at Tahoe, it made all the trades. House Democrats struggled to admonish the Muslim woman congresswoman for anti-Semitic remarks. She said that she doesn’t have to be loyal to Israel in order to be a good American, and she’s right. In order to be a good American you only have to be loyal to England, it’s in the fine print. Parliament in London voted to adopt a measure to block free online porn and require adults to purchase a different porn card for each website. Each porn card carries a government tax. If Congress tried that in the U.S., it could be the issue that finally unites people of all political differences. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver addressed reporters Tuesday and revealed that mental health problems are pervasive in the league. It’s even worse in the outside world. Did anyone notice that at the U.S.-North Korea peace summit last June, Dennis Rodman was the sanest man sitting at the table? Homeland Security’s Kirstjen Nielsen testified in the House, where Democrats accused her of wanting a wall to keep people of color out of the U.S. It’s supply and demand. If Mexico were to stop exporting cocaine and heroin for a month, Americans would be the ones climbing over the wall. Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ Kylie Jenner was saluted by Forbes as America’s youngest self-made billionaire. No life is perfect. All that money still didn’t keep Kylie from being mortified after the Oscars when her father showed up at the Governor’s Ball in the same dress she was wearing. House Democrats announced plans Tuesday to investigate President Trump for obstruction of justice. We know how this ends. The investigation will drone on until the Supreme Court rules by a vote of five-to-four that keeping Hillary Clinton from becoming president is not obstruction of justice. Hillary Clinton summoned New York TV reporters to Chappaqua for her big announcement Sunday. It made me a little wistful. Hillary announced she will NOT run for president in 2020, forsaking once and for all the Clinton family dream of being America’s first two-impeachment family. The NSA is reported considering ending its phone surveillance program which was exposed by Edward Snowden a few years ago. The NSA listened in on every phone call being made in the world. Germany sued in World Court because the U.S. didn’t pay any royalties to the Gestapo for the program. The Humane Society reports that Unilever will join the move to ban testing cosmetics products on animals. The good news is, hundreds of L.A. companies are getting great publicity by announcing they will stop testing their products on animals. The bad news is, three of them were dildo companies. President Trump flies to Alabama Friday to survey the damage done by a massive tornado last Sunday. The deadly twister blew out Lee and Beauregard counties. Last year when Byron Allen purchased the Weather Channel the first thing I thought he’d cancel was Confederate Generals Week.
